ABOUT the Author

R. J. Delainey received degrees in history and education in 1995 and 1998 respectively from the University of Saskatchewan. He began his teaching career with the Saskatoon Catholic system; however, he has spent the better part of the last decade teaching history, law and computers at LCBI High School in Outlook, Saskatchewan. Although he feels comfortable working with information technology, he considers himself first and foremost a teacher of history. Richard reads widely in areas including history, politics, religion, economics and science. He has a passion for ideas and loves to teach students critical thinking and help young people develop their intellectual gifts. He is married and has three wonderful sons.
